Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Tradzi collects, why, who we share it with, and your rights. We've written it in plain English.
Who we are
Tradzi is run by Central Stock Trading Ltd (company number 17472376, registered office 15a Anchor Road, Walsall, WS9 8PT, United Kingdom). We are the "controller" of your personal data. Contact us about privacy at help@tradzi.co.uk.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and your password (we only store a scrambled "hash" of it, never the password itself).
- Your plan and billing: which plan you're on, its status and renewal date, and a Stripe customer reference. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Your settings: e.g. personal or business seller, your usual postage, and how often you want hot picks emails.
- Your activity: when you sign up, log in, and run checks or searches (including what you searched for, such as a product title, barcode or budget), plus plan changes. We use this to count your monthly checks, keep Tradzi secure and improve it.
- Your flips: the items you add to My flips (what you bought, prices, dates, where you sold it and any notes). Only you can see them; they're deleted with your account, and you can download them any time.
- Your eBay connection (if you choose to connect eBay): your eBay user ID and username, an encrypted access token from eBay, and your eBay orders (item, sale price, date and eBay's fees), which become entries in My flips. Tradzi can only read your orders; it can't list, buy or change anything. You can disconnect any time in My flips, or remove access in your eBay account settings.
- Screenshots you upload (paid plans): sent to our AI provider to read the listing, then discarded. We don't keep them.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser details, which our hosting provider records in short-term server logs for security.
Some things are stored only on your own device (in your browser), not on our servers: your test log, prices you've checked yourself, and a copy of your settings.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To provide Tradzi and take payment: necessary for our contract with you.
- To send hot picks emails and important account emails (e.g. password resets): part of the service you signed up for. You can turn hot picks off in your account or with the link in any email.
- To keep Tradzi secure, prevent abuse and improve it (e.g. understanding which features are used): our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
- To keep financial records: a legal obligation.
We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you with legal effects.
Who we share it with
We use these trusted service providers, who process data on our behalf under contract:
- Render: hosts Tradzi and its database (servers in Frankfurt, Germany).
- Stripe: takes payments and manages subscriptions.
- eBay: if you connect your eBay account, we receive your orders from eBay. eBay's own privacy notice covers what eBay does with your data.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Anthropic: reads listing screenshots you upload (paid plans).
- Keepa, eBay and Apify (which collects Vinted prices for us, with Vinted's permission): we send them product searches (titles, barcodes) to get prices. We don't send them who you are.
Some providers are in the United States. Where your data leaves the UK, it's protected by approved safeguards, such as the UK–US data bridge or the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or others' safety.
How long we keep it
- Account and settings: while you have an account. Ask us to delete it at any time.
- Activity log: 12 months, then deleted automatically.
- Billing records: 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
- Password reset links: they expire after an hour and are deleted within a day.
Cookies and similar technology
Tradzi uses one essential cookie, tradzi_session, to keep you logged in (it lasts up to 30 days). Because it's strictly necessary, it doesn't need your consent. We also keep your settings, test log and checked prices in your browser's local storage on your own device. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its secure payment pages; see Stripe's privacy policy.
Your rights
You have the right to: access your data; have it corrected; have it deleted; restrict or object to how we use it; and receive it in a portable format. Email help@tradzi.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Tradzi is for adults (18 and over). We don't knowingly collect children's data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app.
